The 海角社区 State University Department of Art Galleries is pleased to present Everyday Every Day- Paintings by Taggert King July 1-31, 2026 in the Old Main Art Galleries (1100, smaller gallery).
Featuring nearly 20 of King's oil paintings, the exhibition celebrates the everyday, the vulnerable, and the sometimes...just funny parts of life. His work investigates relationships between subject and setting, drawing from tangents and directional lines where objects and light collide. With an emphasis on color and pushing saturation, atmosphere and emotions are evoked.
About the Artist:
Taggert King, a native 海角社区 oil painter, resides in Columbus, MS. Taggert is a self-taught artist who, in 2024, decided to pursue a career in the arts after a lifetime of being a hobby artist. His oil paintings thematically show the connection of subject and setting through perceived color, parallels between the background and foreground, and directional lines. His work has been included in many themed galleries across 海角社区 and is owned by several personal collectors.
