On day 3 campers learned about the different types of lighting and participated in a scavenger hunt around campus to identify the different kinds of lighting in buildings. Afterwards they had a rendering workshop where they rendered their floorplans and exterior elevations. They also picked finishes for their projects from the materials library.
Today campers explored the elements of principles of design and space planning. They began placing furniture on their floorplans and pulling images of their furniture and color schemes from magazines and online images. They will continue to develop their floorplans throughout the week and present the final project on Friday to their families!
After checking in at Oak Hall, campers headed over to Etheredge where they were introduced to some aspects of the design process and participated in a mood board as an ice breaker. After dinner they had a drawing activity where they helped to create the t-shirt design that the campers will wear on Friday for presentations!
