State fine art seniors to showcase work in senior exhibit

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Art by 10 State fine art seniors will be on display next week featuring a compilation of illustrations, ceramics, multimedia pieces, sculptures and more. The exhibition opens with an artists’ reception May 10, 2-4 p.m., and will be viewable in both Old Main Art Galleries through May 17.

Old Main Art Galleries are located in Room 1070 and 1100 of MSU’s Old Main Academic Center, located at the corner of George Perry Street and Barr Avenue. Viewing hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday–Friday

“This year’s thesis students are a fun group of artists working in a wide range of media. Their work spans sculpture, ceramics, painting, printmaking, drawing and digital work,” said Rowan Haug, assistant teaching professor and interim undergraduate coordinator. “They are a talented, hard-working and creative group, and I am excited to see where they go next and the work they’ll produce in the coming years.”
