"My work balances on the thread-thin line between art and craft -- that seam line that holds our desires together rather than a space where hierarchy within expression feels necessary. Quilts are, to me, often a physical manifestation of our desire for order and repetition. My work often lives within the tension of our reach for perfection within human manual imprecision and embraces the beauty in letting go of our preconceived notions of perfection.

"As a studio artist, woodworker, and native º£½ÇÉçÇøan, I am working to add my voice to the rich vocabulary of the South through measured craft and familiar form. I aim to emulate great southern literature employing metaphor and symbolism to create exceedingly simple, stark reflections of agrarian landscapes that are simultaneously haunting and sublime."
